This sketch is a part of my sketch collection of "Life of Saigon". I took the photo from my iPhone in a moving taxi and backed home I sketch it accordingly. Landmark 81, is the tallest tower in Vietnam as at now (2018). It was opened for public early 2018 and located surrounding a residential+commercial of Vin Pearl area. Even though it is currently the tallest building but the shopping mall I think is the smallest of other skyscrapers in the world as the shopping mall is smaller than KL Twin tower which remains the tallest twin tower in the world at the moment. Another factor which I said is smaller than the KL twin tower is due to its low ceiling structure. The low ceiling height damage the exclusivity of the mall ambiance. The design of the building is just ordinary nothing seems special about the design as compared to the Malaysia Twin Tower which seems more artistic and full of meaning. 

The Landmark 81 is the tallest tower in Vietnam. It marked the power of money that won the war of the domination of concrete. The eye catches of the city, the symbol of the nation’s pride. Never thought that the young nation that just freed from war could ever achieve such fast development. The rise of the dragon has awakened the sleeping lion and the growing tiger.

 

The development of Landmark 81 is initiated by Vinhomes, a Vietnamese Corporation that is the largest developer in Vietnam. It marked the 17^th tallest building in the world. It is 461.15 meters (1,513.0 ft) tall. It takes about 5 years to complete and the project completed in 2018 and officially opened in July 2018. This building has 3 levels of the observation deck, spanning from floor 79 to floor 81 and currently the highest observation deck in Vietnam.

 

Landmark 81 is the heart of the billion high-end mixed urban development of Vinhomes Central Park which located at the western banks of the Saigon River. This building comprises high-end retail spaces, multi-levels observation deck, conference facilities, hotel, and luxury apartments.
