The ingredients were inspired while I was in the kitchen. Two main ingredients in most of my cooking are onions and tomato that give the sweet, sour, and spicy flavor to my cooking.

Life of Tulip series was inspired by the fresh tulip that I bought during TET festival (Lunar Year festival). It was so beautiful when it bloomed however faded and dying through time. Just like our life that will never be permanent and will meet the end one day.

This painting was inspired by the canal that I saw and passed through during my visit to Toulouse, France in 2019. This painting has been uploaded on my posting at Global Malaysian Network FB page on Jul 30th 2020 and received 322 likes. Received positive comments made me so honored and feel appreciated.

From Toulouse to Paris series : A Lady in Paris - 050sk

This painting was inspired by how fashionable an old lady that I saw while I crossed the road in Toulouse. This lady,  I didn't see her front face but I saw her side face as I was standing behind her but I was attracted to her colorful jacket and she looked so fashionable from behind. Her beauty caught my eyes and I realized that France indeed a country of fashions and love. That time, I was just hoping that I could see her in Paris as I was on the way to Toulouse train station to catch a TGV to Paris. As I arrived in Paris I was so impressed by how this rustic, plain structure could attract people around the world and adore its spirit for love. As I was standing in front of Eiffel Tower, I was imagining the old lady that I saw in Toulouse was standing looking towards this rustic love tower,  This is the Eiffel Tower of Paris.

This painting was inspired by the colour of water streaming in the canal in Toulouse, France, when I went there for a conference. At first, I thought the river water was not clean and muddy as the color was green. However, as I stand on the bridge and observed down to the stream, I realized that the water actually was so clear. What made the water looks green was because of the reflection of the green from trees along the canal. That really impressed me as I never thought that there is clear green water. 

For this painting, I did not sketch line to guide me on the proportion, hence I directly pain on the canvas and guided with my naked eyes. As at now I still want to keep this painting as my personal collection even though I already has a request to purchase it. Probably I will open for sale once I completed my book.

This painting was inspired by its vibrant yellow color of the flower. It's a kind of color therapy for me as the color was always cheering me up whenever I looked at it. Gerbera is a long-lasting flower.  I always bought Gerbera or Lily because it can last than 2 weeks after I put them in a vase with water in it. But you have to frequently change and top up the water, for like every 2-3 days. So, this is one of the collection that I kept it in a painting.

Falling Leaves was inspired by my conference travel to Toulouse, France. As I arrived in Toulouse, I was welcomed with an autumn view. I saw brown leaves on fields and along the way to Toulouse Business School where the conference that I participated in was held. It was my first experience traveling to Europe and experienced beautiful autumn. I used to see green trees in my tropical countries, but here all the trees were brown in color. Amazing. Such a different view for me, who came from a tropical country. As a memoir, I kept the experience in my painting.
