ROSE

ROSE -0010SK
Medium.  : water color
Size.         : A3

This is my second trial on water cooler. I think I like water color more than acrylic and oil paint as it is easy to get the color tone that I like. I also notice that coloring other cooler than white color flower is much more easier . It is very hard to get the difference of petal color when the flower is white. I think my second trial on rose looks much better. Enjoy!

DAUN-0006SK
Acrylic
Size : a) 29cm x 29cm
          b) 19cm x 19cm

"Daun" was my first painting after more than 30 years I've been without paper, canvas and colours. It was a beginning of my hobby after I become a full housewife. Daun was a simple subject that I can practice my line and color tone. I received good comments from my friends and that has inspired me to continue drawing and painting.

MEKONG RIVER

MEKONG RIVER
I had a chance to experience a rowing boat along Mekong River. Mekong river is a life for a majority of Vietnamese.  The Mekong river has become a play field for this boy. He swam swiftly along the Mekong river following our rowing boat. Our boat was paddled by an old lady of mid 50's . She looks old but her energy was like a 20 years old lady.
I was amazed with how these people surviving their life. Their life are so simple and very basic yet it gave them happiness that people like us are striving for.

MY ART CORNER

This is the corner where I display my small artworks. Those are collections that I started off with when I began my hobby. I love drawing and painting since I was in primary school. During my primary years I used to participated in drawing and coloring contest and  I won few drawing competitions. When I was in form 3, my drawing about tone was selected by my art trainee teacher for his art exhibition. I loved his air brush painting. Unfortunately, I've stopped my hobby since I entered I.T.M. when I did my diploma and never touched paper and brush since then,  and never had a real hobby since then as well.

I restarted my hobby when I have to follow my husband working and residing in Saigon. Since then I became a fulltime housewife until now. I've been working since I graduated and being a fulltime housewife seems a nightmare that I have to face in reality. To fulfill my free time I need to do something to fade away the emptiness feelings especially when my daughter was away to school and my husband gone to work. I started my first painting with a simple drawing which I named it "DAUN" ( I will published "DAUN" soon). After I finished the painting, I uploaded it in Instagram and fb. I received a good comments and response from friends and relatives. That has inspired me to draw and paint more. "DAUN" has 2 paintings in it's collection. Since then I painted more.

Support from friends and relatives have pushed me to experience and explore the colours as well as to try variety of color medium. I like to use acrylic as it easily dry but oil paint will always give a better effects. My first oil paint was "BUNGA" (Flower in English) and the paintings was sold to a lady (a friend to my husband) who saw it on my fb. Thanks a lot to her for her support and burnt my desire to paint more.

Now I am still drawing and painting with hope that I can share my hobby with my friends and relatives via my blog called "Cik Su Gallery". I hope you will enjoy my blog

"BUNGA" & "SUNGAI"

"BUNGA" or Flower in English while "SUNGAI" or river in English were two of my earlier 29cm x 38cm paintings.

"BUNGA" - 0001SK - SOLD
I used oil paint for "BUNGA" . I got an inspiration from "bunga lalang" for "BUNGA". The background tone actually playing the role to make it looks like 2 dimension. I used a lot of red colour as base colour.
